Herbal Tea Garden Seed Starting Kit

Try growing your own herbal tea garden!  Tea gardens have been around for centuries and include plants that can help with different ailments.  Tea also tastes great too!  Each variety is picked especially for its plant power and ease of growing.  I hope you enjoy this kit and have fun growing the seeds.  It is a wonderful way to try new varieties and get a head start on growing them.  All the varieties are wonderful for a container garden too.  Included in this kit are very detailed instructions on each seed variety; how to start the seed, how to maintain them, and then how to harden the plants off and get them outside when the weather is warm - either in your garden or a container!

This kit includes:
- 6 peat pots
- 6 soil discs
- 6 biodegradable palm leaf trays 
- 6 plant labels
- 6 seed packets with enough seeds for more than enough for one garden season - you will have enough      for next year!
- 1 small water spray bottle
- Plant information card for each seed type
- Seedling hardening off instructions
- Planting information card
- Burlap drawstring bag to hold all supplies

Seed varieties (quantity is the minimum seed count included):
- Echinacea Purpurea: A beautiful purple wildflower with well-known medicinal properties (at least 20 seeds)
- Lavender: A hardy variety with fragrant purple spikes (at least 25 seeds)
- Lemon Balm: Lemon flavored and scented foliage makes great tea, vigorous and hardy plant, eaasy to grow (at least 25 seeds)
- Chamomile: Pretty small daisy like flowers make a great tea, easy to grow, perennial (at least 30 seeds)
- Bee Balm: A perennial popular with pollinators, foliage smells like oregano and is used medicinally (at least 20 seeds)
- Holy Basil: Also called Tulsi, used widely for medicinaly purposes, grows like other basil but not as bushy, does well in containers or the garden (at least 20 seeds)

Easy to grow garden kit.  Put a soil disc in each peat pot and add a little water at a time until all soil has expanded.  Add the seeds as directed on the planting card for each variety.  Label each pot with the label.  As directed in the planting card, the seeds like warmth for germination.  If the area is not warm enough you could put a small sandwich bag over the peat pot and seeds to act as a greenhouse until germination.  Keep soil moist but not too wet, seeds will germination in 1-3 weeks depending on seed type, climate of room, sun exposure, etc.  This is a great way to get your seeds started.  Once they are big enough they will outgrow the small peat pot and will then need to be transplanted into a larger pot or outside in the garden if weather permits.  I have included more seeds than will fit in each peat pot, you will have extra for additional plants or to save.
